What is good creative writing? Trust me you will know it when you see it. Putting it into words now that is a different story, one way you can tell what is good writing is by how it makes you feel.
To become a good writer you must have first and foremost a love for writing, be willing to work hard, and be willing to put in the time to make yourself better. There are no quick fixes, either you put in the time to get better or you won’t, it is as simple as that. I know there are many programs on the market claiming they can make you a great writer in 10 days, nonsense. I am not saying that they will not help, but there are no short cuts. You want to become a good writer it is just like anything else, you have to be willing to put in the time. Writing in my opinion is not just a talent, but also a skill. Sure, any one can be taught to write, but it is that little something extra, that factor that cannot be taught that is what separates the good writers from the average ones. Think about it like this any one can learn to play the guitar, but I doubt that any of us will be able to play it as good as Hendrix did. That is the intangible something I’ m talking about. Strive for perfection knowing you will never get there, but as long as you are working hard toward it, your writing will only get better.
