How often have you stopped short of something you truly wanted because of no motivation? Or, how many times have you looked far in the horizon, at the things you wanted to achieve, but didn’t because of no motivation? Or maybe you simply woke up this morning, had a full plate of things to do, and simply felt no motivation.Regardless of the case, you can light your motivation afire with these simple and proven tactics that will take you from no motivation to plenty-a-motivation in no time flat:1. Pick One Thing, and Do It Well. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed or in-over your head and have no motivation when you have lots of things going on. It’s impossible to put the energy and focus into many things at once. Narrow your focus, pick one thing to work on, and devote all of your energy into it. You’ll find yourself pick up almost immediately.2. Build an Awesome Support Team. If we are a product of our environment, than what kind of product are you? And what kind of environment do the people surrounding you give you? Surround yourself with optimistic, positive people. Naysayers, complainers and gossipers will only slow you down in life. It’s hard enough when we feel sluggish about accomplishing our goals and have no motivation, it’s doubly more difficult when we have enablers and naysayers telling us we can’t or shouldn’t bother as well!3. Take Pride in Not Giving Up. Almost everyone gives up long before their goal. There is a lot of honour and pride to be taken in not giving up on something you truly care about. Not only does it feel good, but it puts you in that upper echelon of folks who manage to get things done! Be the one that doesn’t give in, that doesn’t quit, that sees things through to the end.4. Take Baby Steps. Most people hate starting something new. Particularly if it’s something like a new diet, exercise regimen, or anything else that has the risk of failure. Instead of looking at the big picture, look at the first couple steps in front of you. No motivation to go to the gym? Focus instead on the drive there. As you probably know by experience, starting is always the most painful part of any journey. Yet once you do overcome those first few steps, you begin to wonder what all the fuss was about to begin with!5. Peaks, Valleys, and Everything Else. Realize that having no motivation is only temporary. Motivation is like the rain, sometimes it showers, sometimes it sprinkles, and sometimes it’s bone dry. The key here is to realize that this temporary lull is just that–you will get through it if you choose to!Having no motivation doesn’t have to permanent! Follow these simple, battle-tested techniques and you will find that your problems with having no motivation will disappear into the rear-view!
